The double-breasted front, belt, and very cropped cut create a statement, structured look — the jacket that uses the double-breasted closure to give the belted very-cropped silhouette a layered front that adds visual weight to the upper body and uses the very cropped length to give the double-breasted belted jacket an abbreviated hem that makes the formal front construction read in the most compact proportion possible.
